The Oklahoma City Thunder are still unbeaten in the 2024 NBA playoffs. After sweeping the Pelicans in the first round, the Thunder beat the Mavericks 117-95 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Saturday night.

The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 33 points and 10 assists. Josh Giddey added 22 points, while Jalen Williams had 17 points and Darius Bazley had 14 points. The Thunder shot 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who had 26 points and nine rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie added 16 points, while Dorian Finney-Smith had 13 points. The Mavericks shot 36.2% from the field and 22.2% from three-point range.

The Thunder held the Mavericks to just six points in the third quarter and 17 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. The Mavericks have now lost five straight Game 1s. Jason Kidd is now 0-5 in Game 1s as the Mavericks coach.

Game 2 of the series will be played in Oklahoma City on Monday night.
